Privacy Policy

Effective Date:

Last Updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Subscription Tracker: Renewly.

1. Introduction

Subscription Tracker: Renewly (“Renewly”, “the app”) is a personal app that helps you keep track of recurring subscriptions and get reminded before they renew. Renewly is provided by Keval Vasaniya. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

2. Information We Collect

Renewly does not require you to register or create an account. The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, password, or similar account information.

The subscription information you choose to enter is stored locally on your device using SQLite, a local on-device database. This may include:

  • Subscription name
  • Subscription price
  • Currency
  • Billing cycle
  • Renewal date
  • Reminder preferences
  • Subscription status
  • Subscription history

This subscription information stays on your device and is not transmitted to Renewly servers. Separately, the app uses a crash reporting service that may send technical diagnostic information to Google Firebase, as described in “Crash Reporting and Diagnostics” below.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

Renewly does not operate a server that collects or stores your subscription information. Because there is no account system, we do not hold a profile about you.

Renewly does not sell, rent, or share your subscription information with third parties. Crash and diagnostic information may be shared with Google Firebase solely to provide crash reporting, as described below.

The app currently does not include advertising or analytics services.

4. Local Storage

Your subscription information is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Renewly does not currently offer cloud synchronization or cloud backup.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your device. Deleting the app, clearing its data, or losing access to your device may result in the permanent loss of your locally stored subscription information, as Renewly does not keep a copy.

5. Notifications

Renewly can use local notifications to remind you about upcoming subscription renewals. Notification schedules are created and managed on your device; they are not sent from a Renewly server.

You can allow, limit, or turn off notifications at any time through your device's operating system settings.

6. Crash Reporting and Diagnostics

Renewly uses Firebase Crashlytics, a crash reporting service provided by Google, to help identify, investigate, and fix crashes and technical errors, and to improve the app's stability and performance.

When the app crashes or encounters certain errors, a crash report may be created. Depending on how the service is configured, crash reports and diagnostic information may include:

  • Crash logs, stack traces, and technical error details
  • App version and relevant app configuration information
  • Device model, operating system version, and related technical information
  • Diagnostic or installation identifiers used by the crash reporting service
  • Information about the circumstances in which a crash occurred

Not every item above is necessarily collected in every report. Crash reports are not intended to include the subscription details you enter in the app.

Crash reports may be transmitted to and processed by Google Firebase to provide the crash reporting service. This information is used only for diagnostics and app improvement — not for advertising, and not for tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.

For more information about how Google handles data, see the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Services

Renewly currently does not use third-party services to collect or store your subscription information.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Renewly uses Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports and diagnostic information, as described in “Crash Reporting and Diagnostics”. Google's processing of this information is subject to the applicable Google and Firebase terms and privacy documentation, including the Google Privacy Policy.

Renewly may be distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. When you download the app or make any purchase through these platforms, Apple or Google may collect information under their own privacy policies. Renewly does not control the information collected by those platforms, and we encourage you to review their policies.

8. Data Security

Your subscription information remains on your device. The security of that information depends on the security of your device, such as using a passcode and keeping your operating system up to date. Maintaining the security of your device is your responsibility.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Renewly does not maintain a remote copy of your subscription information. Crash and diagnostic reports sent to Firebase Crashlytics are handled by Google under its own documentation and policies.

Locally stored information remains on your device until you edit or delete it within the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app, depending on your platform.

10. Children's Privacy

Renewly is a general-audience personal finance tool and is not directed at children. The app does not ask users for personal information such as name, email address, or phone number.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the app's features change. The updated version will be published on this website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
